Michael Young, born in northern California, has been licensed as an attorney in the State of California since 1977. He has over 20 years of experience in estate planning, probate and trust administration. He is the author of the Alzheimer’s Legal Survival Kit as well as his monthly newsletter entitled Elder Law Today. Mr. Young makes presentations regarding estate planning and Elder Law issues and on the legal issues faced by families who have a loved one with Alzheimer's disease. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
In the first 10 years of his legal career, Mr. Young was “in house counsel” for two different title insurance companies in the San Francisco bay area. He also has a California real estate broker’s license. This well grounded background in real estate and real property titles, as well as his estate planning background, has led to Mr. Young’s emphasis on long term care estate planning for the protection and preservation of the home and other assets for our senior population and their families.
